Abstract

Religious journals have played their role in society. These journals are also a part of our Islamic civilization and Islamic journalism. The main purpose of these journals have to aware the peoples about the teaching of particular religious and the contemporary issues.These journals are the source of guidance for the readers on different  various topics and  they also play an important role in the development of essay writing in researchers. These journals have many types like Ahl e Sunnah journals, Ahl e Hadess journals, Ahl e shiah journals which are preaching their own point of view among the peoples. In the past decades religious scholars were the source of Islamic information and its preaching. Instead of that religious journals have their brief history from 19th century in Subcontinent. So that this research article is describe the brief history about religious periodicals and its role in contemporary situations.
