About the Journal
Al-Āfāq Islamic Research Journal is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access journal published bi-annually by the Department of Islamic Studies at Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan. Al-Āfāq is the research journal of the Department of Islamic Studies, Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan. The significance of Islamic education has increased to a great extent in the modern-day world. Many religious and spiritual issues have become complex for the common man. Answers to these and many other such problems can only be sought in pure and practical research in Islamic education. With these vital goals and sacred objectives, the Department of Islamic Studies has launched its research journal Al-Āfāq is meant to facilitate its research scholars in creating a comprehensive and global understanding of Islam. Al-Āfāq aims to address the modern-day issues in light of the actual teachings of Islam. Al-Āfāq aims to promote scholarly research on contemporary issues and complexities of the modern-day world in addition to the orthodox approach to research. One of the basic aims of the Journal of Islamic Studies is to develop a close linkage between the intellectuals and the common man of society with the help of scholarly research.
