Abstract

Islam being a complete code of life has guided all human being to live his/her life with peace and prosperity, and has given a clear and proper structure of government for its followers being ruler (caliph) and citizen. It also exhorted the followers to be loyal and obedient to their ruler (caliph), and if anyone of the citizens comes across any weakness or clue occurred by the ruler, will not expose it publically or through media. Adding more, if the said person wants to reform the very ruler he should address and advise him directly, in polite mode, alone and sincerely. But unfortunately, after the political decline in the Islamic regions, when Islamic system was replaced with the western democratic system and the concept of two parties; ruling and opposition was put into the minds of common mass (Muslims in general) the very Islamic ruling for criticizing a caliph were put aside. And the opposition was given free hand to criticize each good and bad work done by the rulers, which lead the Islamic countries and their citizens to anarchy, conflict and bad-governance. The main purpose of this article is to drag attention of the researchers towards the principles and ethics/ruling for the said goal to reform ongoing contemporary western political system which has been adopted in the Muslim countries blindly, and to re-enclose the Muslims to their religion. This article discussed the said issue in a scholarly way; firstly the ruling of criticism has been discussed in light of Sharia and practices of the companions of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W) and secondly the contemporary system has been examined in light of the said ruling. At the end the conclusion/results of the study have are given in five figures. This article will open new aspects of study for the up-coming researchers and can play a great role in harmonizing Pakistani political practices to the Islamic concept of peace and prosperity.
