Abstract

Sikhism is actually a Revolutionary movement to break down the caste system of Hinduism. All human beings are equal in the sight of the god. There is no caste discrimination in humanity. Gurbani; The Book of Guru Granth Sahib is a sacred text that compiles principles given by Sikh Gurus. The monotheistic Sikh faith is uncompromising; believed in one god, faith in a single, all-powerful, and Absolute, all-encompassing, immortal. Sikhism supports interfaith harmony due to the inherent benefits of collaboration being humanity and subordinate to almighty. All faiths are respected by Sikhs. According to gurbani; only actions, not beliefs, determine how wonderful you are.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the importance of purity of soul in Gurbani, and historical background and importance of Spiritual Gurus. Further this research will explore the Rules & the Ritual for Sikhs to follow as an obligation. In the last part of the research paper the Pilgrimage in Sikhism will describe briefly. The qualitative methodology has been adopted. The research was carried out in descriptive & an analytical manner.
